Palace Intrigue: A daily podcast about Britain's wackiest family
The Premise (from Apple Podcasts):
A podcast like The Crown? How about a daily roundup of what's new with The Royal Family and Megxit: Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, and the rest of the Royal Family. Even Prince Andrew. It's like The Crown in real time.

Podcast Librarian’s Review:
A few things happened in early 2020 that led me to this podcast. First, I had 2 weeks off from work for winter break and binged The Crown Season 3; in doing so, I realized there is a great deal I don’t know about the British monarchy, past and present. Second, as I was searching for royals podcasts, the news broke about Megxit—Harry and Meghan’s break from the royal family. All this brought me to Palace Intrigue, a daily, mock-dramatic account of the royal goings-on, from the utterly mundane to the gossipy. As far as I know, it’s the only daily podcast covering the royal family. Each episode is under 5 minutes, so this is a daily pod that won’t clog your feed if you get behind. Obviously, there isn’t a great deal of time for discussion in this short format, but I feel the host, Mark, manages to give just enough detail, snarky commentary, and occasional exaggerated impressions of Queen E. & Co. for me to feel in the loop. Clearly, this is a great time to subscribe with all the current drama; as with an daily pod, it is the type of pod that may be more or less entertaining based on whether it’s a slow news day. But if you’re a royals fan (or hater, I guess) who wants a quick rundown on the latest developments of England’s fabulously wacky family, then this pod is a must-listen.
