The Premise (from Apple Podcasts):

Thanks to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the world will be gifted with the greatest wedding of all time. And thanks to James Barr and Kristen Meinzer, we now have the perfect BFFs to help us unwrap all the feels. Each week, James and Kristen obsess over the love story details, digest the latest nuptial news, and speculate about what will go down at the royal wedding itself. Along the way, they talk with expert guests and friends of the couple, including the Royal Astrologer, a crown jewels historian, and Harry's best army buddy. Be a part of the greatest love story ever told, just by listening.

The Podcast Librarian’s Review:

This podcast was obviously more topical when it was airing, but it’s still worth a listen even if you’re not a Meghan or Harry fan. Kristen Meinzer of By the Book (one of my other fave podcasts) has an absolute obsession with Meghan Markle, as does her British co-host, James Barr. Together, they sift through all the wedding news and rumors in the months leading up to the Royal Wedding. Both hosts are hilarious, and their excitement is infectious. It’s interesting to get both the US and U.K. perspectives on this union, which was controversial in some ways. The pair also interviews folks with connections to the theme of the podcast, like a milliner (someone who makes fascinators) and even Queer Eye’s Tan France! On the day of the wedding, Kristen and James are there, reporting live from outside of Windsor, and they conclude the series with a wrap-up of the wedding (and a bonus episode about Eugenie’s wedding)! My favorite phrase to come out of this series is the term “bitch half-sister.”—listen to it, and you’ll get it. This is a fun, delightful series that I highly recommend for anyone who loved royals, gossip, or a lighthearted pod!
